Job Description



NextStar Energy (NSE) is an innovative joint venture company between LG and Stellantis. It will be Canada\'s first large-scale lithium-ion battery production plant when it begins production at the Twin Oaks site in Windsor, Ontario. The manufacturing facility will have an annual targeted production capacity more than 49 gigawatt hours and will create an estimated 2,500 new jobs in Windsor and the surrounding areas. This state-of-the-art facility will be the first of its kind in Canada and is being built with the goal of becoming the foremost battery hub in North America. This person will be responsible for:

  • Compliant with health/safety/environmental/fire regulations and 3R5S standards.
  • Work on continuous process/equipment improvements to ensure the line is operating at its designed level at all times.
  • Resolve equipment troubles occurred in shop floor.
  • Manage technicians to let them solve equipment troubles.
  • Check preservation and maintenance work performed regularly, properly and accurately by technicians.
  • Manage spare parts. (Incoming, Releasing, Checking inventory, Disposal or repair)
  • Collects and analysis data, assists with research and development, and records results
  • Additional duties as assigned
Minimum Qualifications:
  • Diploma in related field
  • More than 5 years experienced with mechanical trouble shooting & maintenance and preventative maintenance
  • Production/Quality related knowledge
  • Process knowledge, equipment operation knowledge, manual knowledge, work manual understanding knowledge, equipment/electricity-related technical knowledge, etc.
  • Able to work 12-hour shifts (day/afternoon)
