Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced Construction Supervisor/Manager to oversee and coordinate various construction projects from inception to completion. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in construction management, demonstrating expertise in quality control, budgeting, and blueprint reading. This role requires effective leadership skills to supervise teams, manage resources, and ensure projects are completed on time and within scope.
The Modular Construction? Supervisor/Manager leads the end?to?end production and field installation of factory?built homes. Working in a high?tech warehouse environment and on?site across Ontario, you will coordinate manufacturing crews, oversee quality?controlled assembly, manage subcontractors, and ensure each modular unit is delivered, erected, and finished on schedule, within budget, and to the highest safety and craftsmanship standards.

Responsibilities
Oversee all phases of construction projects, ensuring compliance with safety regulations and quality standards.
Coordinate with architects, engineers, and subcontractors to ensure project specifications are met.
Utilize construction management software for project tracking and reporting.
Manage project budgets, including estimating costs and controlling expenses throughout the project life cycle.
Review blueprints, schematics, and other technical documents to ensure accurate execution of plans.
Implement quality control measures to maintain high standards of workmanship.
Provide leadership and direction to construction teams, fostering a collaborative work environment.
Warehouse Production
Supervise daily floor?plan operations for modular panel fabrication, steel framing, MEP rough?ins, and interior finishes.o Coordinate material flow, inventory, and just?in?time deliveries to keep the line moving.
Quality & Compliance
Enforce building standards including Ontario building code and CSA standards o Perform inspections at critical milestones (structural, electrical, plumbing, fire?rating) and document non?conformances.o Lead root?cause analysis and corrective?action plans for any defects.
Crew & Subcontractor Management
Direct a crew of skilled / unskilled workers people and schedule subcontractor activities o Conduct daily briefings, assign tasks, monitor productivity, and coach team members on safety and best practices.o Manage subcontractor contracts, scope, performance metrics, and payment approvals.
Site Installation & Field Supervision
Travel to residential sites across Ontario to oversee unloading, crane placement, module positioning, and final anchoring.o Liaise with local building officials, utility providers, and client representatives to secure permits and inspections.o Resolve on?site issues (logistics, weather delays, unforeseen site conditions) quickly and safely.
Health, Safety & Environmental (HSE)
Enforce a zero?incident culture: conduct toolbox talks, enforce PPE, and lead incident investigations.o Ensure waste reduction, recycling, and energy?efficient practices both in?plant and on?site.
Reporting & Documentation
Produce daily production reports, labor hours, equipment utilization, and variance analyses.o Update project schedules in the ERP system, flagging risks and recommending mitigation actions.o Maintain accurate as?built records, handover packages, and warranty documentation.
Continuous Improvement
Participate in cross?functional teams (design, engineering, procurement) to refine modular designs for faster build times and lower costs.o Champion adoption of new technologies (BIM, robotics, IoT sensors) that enhance precision and traceability.
Experience
5+?years in construction supervision/management, preferably with modular or prefabricated housing.o Completion of construction of at least several residential homes from site work to completion. Should be able to operate miscellaneous light site machinery including forklift, bobcat, mini excavator, etc.
Technical Skills
General Understanding of structural framing, MEP systems, and building code compliance (Ontario Building Code).o Knowledge of Light Gauge Steel Frameing (LGS) is preferred but not required o Familiarity with ERP/project?management software.
Leadership
Demonstrated ability to lead multidisciplinary crews, resolve conflicts, and mentor junior staff.o Excellent communication skills--able to convey technical details to subcontractors, clients, and senior management.
Mobility
Valid Ontario driver's licence; reliable vehicle; willingness to travel across the province.
Safety
Safety certificates including fall arrest and others, and a solid safety?first mindset.
Education
High school diploma or GED required; post?secondary construction, engineering technology, or related field preferred.
Other
Ability to read and interpret architectural/engineering drawings and BIM models.o Physical capability to work in the factory environment and on construction sites (lifting, climbing, exposure to weather).
