We are Lockheed Martin

Modification Retrofit Engineer (MRE) to coordinate modification prototype/verification/validation and first aircraft installation activities at the Fleet Readiness Center - East military service depot facility (Havelock, NC). Act as the point of contact for information related to the technical execution of scheduled onsite modification events. Develop 5th generation aircraft modification workbook Instructions based on aircraft installation, modification, engineering drawings, process specifications, and Time Compliance Technical Directives (TCTD). Published work instructions are detailed, logically sequenced step-by-step planning guidance utilized by contract field teams and military service depot facilities. The targeted candidate will have experience executing aircraft maintenance, installation, and modification tasks.

Basic Qualifications
  • Prior aircraft production, or military service aircraft maintenance, logistics, and support.
  • Formal production or military maintenance training.
  • Ability to develop maintenance planning documents.
  • Comprehension of engineering and maintenance logistics principles.
Desired skills
  • Bachelors Degree in an applicable field and two years experience, preferred.
  • Experience authoring aircraft technical publications.
  • Airframe and Powerplant Certification.
  • Exposure to Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) software.
  • Exposure to 2/3D illustration and modeling software.
  • Exposure Tableau Dashboard development and utilization.
  • Practical experience in Project Management and Earned Value Management Concepts.

Onsite Full-time: The work associated with this position will be performed onsite at a designated Lockheed Martin facility.

Work Schedule Information

Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.

Security Clearance Information

This position requires a government security clearance, you must be a US Citizen for consideration.
