Your Contribution
As a Service Writer, you will play a key role in preparing estimates and invoices, managing communication with clients, therapists, and funding agencies, and maintaining detailed and accurate documentation. A day in the life of a Service Writer includes:
Completion of repair estimate and/or invoice paperwork
Confirm accurate client information on file
Obtain manufacturer's cost & retail pricing and communicate with Purchasing to update in Windward system if required.
Submit repair estimates and claims in Alberta Blue Cross portal
Collect and tender payments in Windward system
Contact clients regarding non-payment and new parts arrivals.
Answer service department phone calls and emails, and book appointments for repairs, assessments, and pickups.
As required, locate equipment and their status for clients, caregivers, facilities, and therapists.
Your Qualifications
Computer skills including typing proficiency and MS Excel, Word, Outlook, etc.
Capable of maintaining a high level of accuracy in preparing and entering information.
Strong troubleshooting skills.
Time management capabilities and flexibility.
The ability to sit, stand, and walk for long periods, work in a noisy shop environment, and lift and move objects up to 50 lbs.
Customer service experience is considered an asset.
Product knowledge is considered an asset.
Knowledge of AADL (Alberta Aids to Daily Living) considered an asset
Applicants should be comfortable dealing with vulnerable people who have various special needs and be empathetic to their circumstances. Applicants must be compliant with public health and workplace safety regulations. A criminal record check may be required.
