As a Mobile Security Guard at Kevlar Security, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the safety and security of our clients' premises. You will be responsible for patrolling designated areas, conducting security checks, and responding to any security incidents or emergencies that may arise. This position requires a high level of vigilance, professionalism, and dedication to maintaining a secure environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Mobile Patrols: Conduct regular patrols of assigned areas, both indoors and outdoors, using designated patrol routes and methods.
- Security Checks: Perform thorough security checks of the building's perimeter, entrances, exits, and other vulnerable points to ensure they are secure and free from unauthorized access or potential threats.
- Alarm Response: Respond promptly to alarms, security breaches, or other incidents, investigate the situation, and take appropriate action to resolve the issue and restore security.
- Surveillance: Utilize surveillance equipment and observation skills to monitor for suspicious activity, unauthorized persons, or security breaches. Report any unusual findings to the appropriate authorities.
- Customer Service: Maintain a professional and courteous demeanor while interacting with clients, visitors, and staff members. Provide assistance, directions, or information as needed, while still maintaining a focus on security protocols.
- Emergency Response: Act decisively and effectively in emergency situations, such as medical emergencies, fires, or evacuations. Follow established protocols and procedures to ensure the safety of all individuals on the premises.
- Documentation: Maintain accurate and detailed records of patrol activities, incidents, and any other relevant information in daily logs or incident reports.
- Communication: Maintain clear and effective communication with fellow security personnel, supervisors, and other relevant parties. Relay important information, updates, or instructions in a timely manner.
Qualifications:
- Must have Canadian Citizenship or Permanent Resident status
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Previous experience in security, law enforcement, or a related field preferred
- Valid security guard license or certification as required by local regulations
- Strong observational skills and attention to detail
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
- Ability to remain calm and composed under pressure
- Physical fitness and the ability to perform patrols on foot or by vehicle for extended periods
- Flexibility to work various shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays
