Mobile Patrol Guard (field Support)

Job Description


The position of the Wincon Field Support is to aid the Operations Team in their day-to-day operations. The incumbent is required to follow the directions of the various operations team members to ensure sites staffing needs are covered, transports are provided for guards when needed, and attending to other duties as assigned. Remains alert to emergency situations and provides front-line response, alarm response, emergency management, and/or referral if required.

Job Qualifications:

  • Must have a valid security guard license under the Ontario Private Security & Investigative Services Act, 2005.
  • Must have a valid First Aid Certificate & CPR Certificate
  • Must possess a valid G license or equivalent.
  • Must be 25 years or older (for automobile insurance purposes)
  • Must provide Driver’s Abstract, without demerit points, dated within 30 days of hiring.
  • Must possess own automobile insurance.
  • Must be able to meet and maintain any applicable provincial licensing requirements for mobile security guards.
  • One-year relevant experience is required.
  • Must be able to successfully complete a company administered road test.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Excellent inter-personal, problem-solving, decision making and critical thinking skills
  • Willing and able to travel to various client site locations via company vehicle.
  • Able to work independently without close supervision.
  • Must be able to walk, run, stand for extended periods of time, in addition to climbing stairs.
  • Knowledge of CB radio and Condo Control Central software usage, preferred.

Responsibilities and duties:

Operations:
  • Cross training at all Wincon client locations and reviewing and acknowledging of Post Orders for all sites.
  • Transporting of employees to and from workplaces as assigned to a designated spot
  • Ensure safe and proper operation of Wincon Security Patrol vehicle when responding to dispatch calls.
  • Respond to major incidents on properties and aid security staff with managing the situation (fire, flood, medical issue, and criminal activity) and alarm response services as directed by the Site Supervisor or Wincon Management
  • Protects evidence or scene of incident in the event of accidents, emergencies, or security investigations
  • Demonstrated ability to respond to questions with patience, courtesy, and tact.
  • Inspect buildings, grounds, for unsecure doors and windows and security devices; monitor and set security devices.
  • Enforce Provincial statues and municipal by-laws.
  • Parking enforcement of assigned properties.
  • Coordinate towing of unauthorized vehicles in accordance with Security Staff and municipal rules and regulations
  • Promote safety and adhere to client site emergency procedures.
  • Reinforce company policies regarding COVID-19 protocols
  • To ensure the condominium safety and emergency procedures are followed in response to fire alarms and other site emergencies
  • Set up barriers and signage and provide direction or information to others.
  • Ensure parking enforcement of assigned properties and coordinate towing of unauthorized vehicles in accordance with security staff and municipal rules and regulations.
  • Write reports of all incidents that occur on customer sites.
  • Mandatory attendance at court when requested by the municipality to provide evidence for tickets that were issued.
  • Be responsible to ensure all equipment is maintained in proper working condition. If there is an issue, advise Operations Coordinator and/or Operations Manage
  • Perform any other duties, as assigned.
