Job Description



The Mobile Mortgage Specialist is responsible for cultivating and managing relationships, primarily with external partners, to identify home financing opportunities and increase ACU\xe2\x80\x99s residential mortgage market share. The Mobile Mortgage Specialist plays an important role in delivering a consistent and compelling member experience, often acting as the first point of contact for new members to ACU. The Mobile Mortgage Specialist contributes to balanced and intentional growth by understanding members\xe2\x80\x99 full financial needs and connecting them to the right experts and advice in all areas of ACU. KEY ACCOUNTABILITES

  • Develop and execute appropriate strategies to meet growth targets and KPIs while consistently delivering business results.
  • Proactively identify and connect with external partners, developing reciprocal relationships to generate retail mortgage business.
  • Deliver a consistent and compelling member experience, building trust through expertise and sound advice, guiding members through the home buying process.
  • Provide mobile service by meeting with prospects, members, and external partners at a time and location that is convenient to them.
  • Partner with branch teams to connect all members with a warm hand off and an opportunity to meet their additional personal financial needs.
  • Proactively identify other member needs and connect members with the appropriate advice at ACU including experts in the Community and Business Financial Centre, ACU Wealth management, and Winnipeg Insurance Brokers.
  • Represents ACU by being visible in the community, attending conferences, trade shows and other relevant events to cultivate business relationships.
  • Organize and lead member seminars and appreciation events.
  • Assist in the implementation of marketing programs, promotions and other initiatives.
  • Conduct credit investigations, completing all applicable documentation accurately and making sound business decisions aligned to ACU risk appetite and values.
  • Collaborate with the credit team and other internal partners to provide timely responses to members.
  • Interpret and understand operating procedures, lending policies and security requirements ensuring all guidelines are adhered to.
  • Work with accuracy and attention to detail to minimize errors that impact members and incur cost to ACU.
  • Resolve member concerns with an aim for first contact resolution, referring escalations to the appropriate person or department as needed.
  • Understand, respect, and support ACU\xe2\x80\x99s commitment to corporate social responsibility, respectful workplace and diversity initiatives.
  • Maintain current and relevant knowledge of industry trends, competitor products and strategies.
  • Provide input in projects and strategic initiatives aimed at improving the member experience.
QUALIFICATIONS EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE Post-secondary education in a business-related field, accompanied by four to six years of job-related experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience.   • Has knowledge of, and connections in, the real estate and residential mortgage market
  • Has in-depth knowledge of mortgage lending, KYC and other applicable regulatory requirements
  • Functional knowledge of personal banking
