Stuyvers Bread, located in the Gloucester Industrial area of Langley/Aldergrove, is looking for a full-time Bakery Mixer to join our team in our production facility!

Duties and Responsibilities:
Follow product recipes and instructions to mix batches of dough in a timely manner, using automated mixing equipment and computerized record keeping software.
Follow product information such as quantity, weight, size, data, and type of products mixed.
Record lot numbers used in each batch on lot control sheet, and number sequentially as instructed.
Ensure that all equipment is clean and ready for production before and during use.

O*ut (FIFO) method. Follow colour coding requirements for all materials including ingredients, bins/containers, scoops, buckets/pails, and waste matter containers to prevent cross-contamination.
Ensure that ingredient containers are labelled properly with description, quantity, date, and lot code.
Follow proper color-coding guidelines on food allergens by following the charts in designated area.
Run production line at specified speed, ensuring that the mix time and time between mixes is followed accordingly. Report any variance to supervisor immediately.
Ensure all ingredients are stored properly and in their designated area.
Follow the guidelines required to prepare Sourdough, yeast and soak seeds/grains as required.
Move any dirty mixing bowl and utensils to wash down area to be washed.
Ensure any unused ingredients are returned to their designated area and properly stored and secured.
Remove product scrap from lines and reuse in batches according to recipe.
Record temperature and ensure temperature is within specified range after mixing batches of dough.
Always keep the work area clean and tidy; perform end of shift daily cleaning tasks.
Report and record any machine malfunctions, damaged or defective ingredients/bins/equipment etc, Food Safety/GMP violations, and Safety violations.
Work in other areas as assigned by Production Supervisor.
Knowledge, Skills and Experience:
Ability to work in a physically demanding, automated production environment; lifting up to 50 lbs. of weight; pushing/rolling bins of dough (up to 400 kg at times).
Previous experience in a production environment using an automated machine is an asset.
Ability to read, write, follow instruction, and communicate in English.
Ability to use automated ERP system for record and data keeping.
Strong attention to proper work procedures and working safely in a production environment.
Use of manual pallet jack is required (training provided).
A willingness to collaborate and contribute ideas to improve team performance.
Punctuality and good attendance is mandatory.
Ability to work in other areas as assigned by the Production Supervisor.
