Job purpose
To help maintain the flow of fabrication through the shop.
Duties and responsibilities
Reporting to the Shop Supervisor, the Fitter / Welder are responsible for:
Moving steel around the shop
Fitting / Welding of Structural Steel, Misc Steel (Handrails)
General cleanup and organization of area
Site measuring projects for handrail fabrication
Skills and Qualifications
Overhead Crane
First Aid (is an asset)
Physically fit and able to lift and load manually various items
Able to work well under pressure in an extremely fast paced environment
Strong multi tasker with keen attention to detail
Able to read blueprints
CWB certified
Experience with Handrails
Job Types: Full-time, Permanent
Pay: $28.00-$34.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40.00 per week
