HOURS OF WORK: Rotating Days, Evenings, Nights, Weekends, Statutory Holidays, Subject to change due to operational requirements

SALARY: $29.62 to $31.82 per hour

JOB PURPOSE:

Provide nursing care to patients, within the scope of educational preparation, under the supervision of a nurse. May assist the Nurse in complex nursing situations. Expected to exercise judgment in accepting responsibility appropriate to job description and preparation, and are accountable for own actions. Treat all patients with respect and dignity and adhere to the values and Mission of Horizon Health Network.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Graduation from an approved school for Licensed Practical Nurses
• Must be currently registered with the N.B. Association of Licensed Practical Nurses.
• Demonstrate effective interpersonal and communication skills.
• Demonstrate initiative and good judgment.
• Demonstrated adherence to legislation and Health Authority confidentiality policy to ensure all patients, business, financial and employee information is accessed on an as need to know basis.
• Must be able to work rotating shifts as assigned, including weekends and holidays.
• Willingness to participate in continuing education programs as provided.
• Current nursing experience in rehabilitation nursing.
• Must be willing to rotate to other areas of hospital, if assigned.
• Current in CPR and recertified yearly.
• Ability to attend work on a regular basis.
• Ability to perform the duties of the position.
• Good work record.
• Written and spoken competence in English is required.
