Shaft and Tunnel Consulting Services Ltd. is an employee-owned company specializing in the design and construction management of tunnels, shafts, and other underground infrastructure. Based in Saskatoon, SK, the company's core mission is to provide expert solutions for complex underground projects, with a focus on delivering high-quality results on time and within budget.

We're looking for an experienced Mining Engineer to support closure planning and grouting execution for mining and underground infrastructure projects. Responsibilities Will Include:



Support in mine planning and design from concept through implementation and post-closure monitoring support. Preparing and reviewing deliverables including project plans, cost estimates, schedules, technical reports, drawings/specifications, and regulatory submission inputs. Support in the identification and management of risks and developing mitigation measures. Supporting planning, materials management, and design in collaboration with civil/geotechnical/environmental disciplines. Communicate with internal team members, clients, regulators, and other stakeholders to support project scope and objectives. Supporting procurement and contractor management activities (scope development, tender review, technical support during execution). Participating in site visits and field reviews as required, ensuring a strong focus on health and safety. Assisting with other general responsibilities to support project and business needs.

Requirements:



Bachelor's degree in Mining Engineering, Civil Engineering, Geological Engineering, Environmental Engineering, or a related discipline. Registration (or eligibility for registration) as a Professional Engineer (P.Eng.) in Saskatchewan (or another Canadian jurisdiction). 3-5 years of experience in mine closure, grouting, or related disciplines. Strong project coordination skills, technical writing capability, and stakeholder communication skills. Ability to travel to sites and client locations (as needed).

Pay: $35.00-$40.00 per hour
