The Mine Engineer reports directly to the Chief Mine Engineer.

What you will do:

- Ground control inspections

- QA/QC on ground support systems

- Installation of geotechnical instrumentation, including data collection, interpretation, and reporting

- Ventilation design and in-field measurements

- Create mining layouts, ground control plans, and ventilation plans

- Support production and rehab planning

- Work with others in the Mine Engineering department to support multidisciplinary projects

What you will bring:

- Bachelor of Science in Mining or Geological Engineering

- Eligible for registration as a Professional Engineer or Engineer in Training with the Association of Professional Engineers and Geoscientists of Saskatchewan (APEGS)

- Capable and willing to work in an underground environment

- Experience in an underground mining environment, specifically potash experience, would be an asset

- Commitment to safety

- Ability to work collaboratively within a team, as well as work individually

- Excellent analytical skills

- Critical thinking and problem-solving skills

- Knowledge of Saskatchewan potash mining methods and geology

- Excellent written and oral communication skills

- Proficient using CAD software (MicroStation, AuotCAD)
