Investigate solutions and resolve Health & Safety and Ergonomics issues on the floor
Participate in internal suggestion program and support other initiatives as required
Provide recommendations and create savings through writing KAIZEN (Continuous Improvement Projects) and One Point
Lessons (OPL) to improve productivity and vehicle quality
Provide reports and generate timelines for projects and project management
Investigate, conceptualize and co-ordinate the design and fabrication of tooling, equipment (including electrical testing), fabrication of fixtures to all production processes, systems and offline support process
Engage in the initial phases of engineering to determine the complete machine and tooling required for complex or comprehensive operations on production parts and assemblies
Procure parts for tooling/process equipment and set up in the central store
Issue Purchase Requisition(s) for tools, process equipment, sockets, extensions needed for production
Determine body structure welding, flexibility, integrity and location as prescribed in AMPS sheets
Interface with Advanced Manufacturing Engineering staff at corporate level and vendors engineering staff with new models as well as current model programs for process, tooling, design, running changes, process equipment and process standard
Prepare Purchase Reqs. for tooling, equipment and layout changes
Research and development of new tooling, process equipment and new processes such as Laser Braze-initiate and implement all new parts and process and changes accordingly
Support Layout department in adjusting all related fits to the vehicle as per engineering specifications and Metrology Dimensional Analysis report and Black Book
Support the Metrology Lab for body moves through Black Book and participation in Dimensional Analysis of the vehicle or component parts
Co-ordinate Skilled Trades for installation of equipment and/or kit(s) for all equipment revisions and/or improvements using Total Maintenance System (TMS)
Interface with other disciplines including Maintenance, Tool room, I.E. and Quality Engineering
Investigate solutions, determine root cause and follow up corrective action using Suggestion database
Responsible for complete tooling requirements to produce world Class Manufactured parts
Conduct internal audits to ensure compliance to quality standards
Purchase proper torque tooling and setting them up in Performance Feedback System (PFS) for proper communication
Assist in the design of the plant layouts for process, tooling and facilities on current and new models
Provide support to Skilled Trades to determine root cause and writing Emergency Work Orders (EWO)
Support team leaders, team members and Skilled Trades on day-to-day problem-solving issues
Interact with multiple vendors with regards to latest methods and technological advancement in manufacturing and machine design
Support Skilled trades on setting up the welding parameters and robot path for sealers as prescribed in Automated Manufacturing Planning System (AMPS)
Support the plant in achieving target metrics in Safety, Quality, Delivery, Cost and Morale
Support the plant in preparing SPW documentations such as OPL\xe2\x80\x99s and SMP\xe2\x80\x99s

Basic Qualifications:
Bachelor\'s Degree (Engineering Discipline)
Ability to work on a bi-weekly rotating days and afternoon shift
Ability to work any shift and overtime as required
Must possess a working knowledge of advanced technical problem-solving tools
Excellent organizational, written and oral communication skills
Ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously
