. The ideal candidate will use their mechanical expertise to maintain, install, and repair production and processing equipment in a fast-paced industrial environment.
Key Responsibilities
Install, maintain, and repair production, utility, and processing equipment.
Perform preventive maintenance and regular inspections on all machinery.
Repair and service mechanical systems such as ice machines, freezers, unloading systems, dock cranes, and cooled production areas.
Weld and fabricate custom parts as needed.
Train staff on the safe operation of new equipment.
Collaborate with maintenance and engineering teams to ensure optimal performance.
Document all maintenance and inspection activities accurately.
Work overtime on short notice when required.
Qualifications
Certified Millwright with
BC Trade Qualification
(required).
Minimum
2 years of experience
as a Millwright in an industrial or processing environment.
Experience with boilers, cooling systems, and refrigeration equipment.
Strong communication skills and ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
Experience in food processing, fishing, or manufacturing industries is an asset.
Willingness to work flexible hours as needed.
Must be able to
commute or relocate
to the Metro Vancouver Regional District before starting work.
