Job Description




Working within a team-based maintenance department your responsibilities will include effective troubleshooting, repair, installations and preventative maintenance of the facility and equipment, essential in the 24-hour operation of the Paper Mill. Employees will be trained in other skills such as, machinist, pipefitter, and welding to be qualified as a Maintenance Technician and will be expected to assist other trades as required


Employee must have millwright license (433A) and preference will be made to those that have welding skills.


Ability to work overtime/ call-ins is required.

Position Description/Skills



Change a pump element, replace couplings, change out reducers/gearboxes Inspect and repair/replace conveyor pulleys, belts, chains, sheaves, and sprockets Paper Machine roll changes Replace and repair hydraulic/pneumatic cylinders Fabrication work such as brackets Alignment and rigging Work closely with other maintenance team members to ensure the smooth running of the plant in a 24/7 continuous operation environment

Welder Skills



Oxy/Acetylene cutting and burning Stick, TIG and MIG welding

Machinist Skills



Lathe operation and drill press use Able to use calipers, micrometers (inside and out), dial indicators, etc. Read sketches and blueprints Milling machine operation - keyways Shop saw operation

Pipefitter Skills



Repack and change valves Fabricate/repair threaded piping Disconnect piping to change out equipment and reconnect Replace gaskets Basic hydraulic/pneumatic troubleshooting and repair Troubleshoot/repair control loops

Hours of work




This position works Monday through Friday from 7:00am to 3:00pm. This position requires overtime and on-call availability on evenings, weekends, and holidays, as required on a rotating basis.

Physical Requirements



Must be able to perform physical activities that require considerable use of arms and legs and moving the entire body. This will include climbing, lifting, balancing, walking, carrying, and stooping. Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds at times. Manual dexterity as needed to operate a variety of machinery and equipment. Must be able to work in a variety of weather conditions and tolerate exposure to typical noises associated with the mill.
