Job Overview

We are seeking an experienced Industrial Millwright (433A) to join our team immediately. We are looking for someone that has practical experience in equipment maintenance and repair within a factory setting, preferably in the food manufacturing industry. This position involves performing both preventive and corrective maintenance, diagnosing mechanical issues, and reducing production downtime while maintaining safety and food safety standards.

is $30 per hour, and

Responsibilities

Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on production and packaging machinery. Inspect, diagnose, and troubleshoot mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems to maintain reliable equipment performance. Repair or replace defective components, including bearings, motors, pumps, and gearboxes. Fabricate and weld components using TIG/MIG processes (welding experience is considered an asset). Collaborate with production and engineering teams to resolve recurring maintenance issues and improve system reliability. Install, align, and adjust machinery as needed to ensure optimal functionality. Conduct root cause analyses and implement effective long-term corrective actions. Maintain accurate logs, records, and documentation for all maintenance activities. Adhere to workplace safety, food safety, and GMP standards to ensure a safe and compliant environment. Contribute to continuous improvement efforts focused on enhancing equipment performance and minimising downtime. Work closely with fellow maintenance staff and production operators to support seamless operations.

Qualifications

Approximately 2 years of experience in a factory or manufacturing maintenance role; experience in the food industry is preferred. Valid Industrial Millwright (433A) License. Strong mechanical aptitude with the ability to interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical manuals. Welding experience with TIG/MIG processes is considered an asset. Skilled in troubleshooting, mechanical repair, and fabrication. Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced production environment. Sound knowledge of preventive maintenance methods and workplace safety procedures.
