Position Overview

We are seeking an

experienced Millwright/Welder

to join our maintenance and production team.
The successful candidate will perform

mechanical repairs, welding, fabrication, and preventive maintenance

on sawmill and industrial machinery to ensure safe and efficient operations.

This is a

full-time, year-round position

offering stability, benefits, and opportunities for growth.

Key Responsibilities

Install, troubleshoot, repair, and maintain mill equipment and mechanical systems Perform

welding, cutting, and fabrication

for equipment repair and modification Conduct

preventive maintenance

on: Log splitters and hydraulic systems Conveyors and chain drives Motors, gearboxes, and bearings Radial fans, dust collectors, and grinders Assist with

machinery installation and alignment

Maintain a clean and organized work area Follow all

WorkSafeBC and company safety protocols

Qualifications

Minimum 2 years of experience

as a millwright, welder, or industrial mechanic Strong understanding of

hydraulic, pneumatic, and mechanical systems

Skilled in

MIG, stick, and torch cutting

processes Ability to

read blueprints and mechanical drawings

Physically fit and comfortable working in a mill environment

Safety-focused, reliable, and team-oriented

(CWB certification or equivalent is an asset)

Pay: $30.00-$35.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 - 50 per week
