We are currently seeking an experienced

Millwright

to join our team. Shift time will be (4) four 10-hour shifts from approx. 3:30pm to 2pm, Monday to Thursday. Depending on the successful candidate, there is some flexibility in the shift start and end time. You will have a consistent schedule every week, and every weekend is a long weekend!

BASIC FUNCTION:

Reporting to the Maintenance Supervisor, the Millwright is a full-time position, responsible for all aspects of equipment and facilities maintenance. All tasks must be performed while adhering to and promoting safe work practices and food safety policies. Both urgency and a view to long-term improvements are necessary. Tasks are typically completed independently while working collaboratively with other departments.

PRINCIPAL RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES:

Adhering to workplace safety policies, regulations, and compliances

Ensuring operating safety devices function properly on completion of repairs, modifications, and installations

Ensuring all plant equipment is functioning at optimum levels by performing short-term repairs and long-term improvements

Assisting with the installation of all new equipment

Completing plant work orders and preventive maintenance

Keeping detailed and accurate maintenance reports and documentation using CMMS maintenance software

Reading diagrams and schematic drawings to determine work procedures

Inspecting and examining machinery and equipment to detect irregularities and malfunctions

Adjusting machinery and repairing or replacing defective parts

Cleaning, lubricating, and performing other routine maintenance work on machineries

Assisting in refining preventative maintenance program and spares inventory

Perform fabrication and welding with stainless steel (TIG & MIG).

Maintaining a clean and environmentally safe work area

Performing other related duties as assigned

QUALIFICATIONS:

433A Licensed Industrial Millwright (1 to 3 years' experience)

Mechanical aptitude

Excellent welding skills in the processes of TIG and MIG

Skilled in the operation of milling machines for the purpose of manufacturing equipment replacement components.

Working at Heights

Forklift License

Experience with packaging machinery, electronics, pneumatics, PLC's, hydraulics, vacuum generators.

Working knowledge of safety standards of equipment

Familiarity with Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP), Hazard Analysis and Critical Control Points (HACCP) and Safe Quality Food (SQF) standards

Ability to work independently without supervision and meet tight deadlines

Able to deal with people sensitively, tactfully, diplomatically, and always professionally, in a diverse working environment

Excellent attention to detail

Positive can-do attitude. Takes ownership in resolving issues, is self-motivated with minimal supervision.

Ability to work in a team environment

Physical ability to lift 50 pounds

Able to effectively communicate both verbally and in writing
