We are a 100% Canadian company with strong ties throughout Southwestern Ontario.Our client is hiring for a Millwright to join their team in London.It is a very warm environment and there are open furnaces on site. If the temperature gets too hot you will be required to take regular heat stress breaks. Your job duties will consist of the following:General learning and numerical ability to install stationary industrial machinery and mechanical equipment according to layout plans using hand and power tools.
Spatial perception to read diagrams and schematic drawings to determine work procedures
Form perception to fabricate parts required during overhaul, maintenance and set-up of machinery
Motor coordination; and finger and manual dexterity to operate hoisting and lifting devices to position machinery and parts during the installation, set-up and repair of machinery; to operate machine tools and to construct foundations
Objective interest in setting up and assembling machinery and equipment before installation, using hand tools, power tools and welding equipment
Innovative interest in analyzing information to inspect and examine machinery and equipment to detect and investigate irregularities and malfunctions to adjust machinery and to repair and replace defective parts
Methodical interest in speaking with other workers to direct them in constructing foundations for machinery; and in cleaning, lubricating and performing other routine maintenance work on machinery
Physical attributes require near and far vision, heavy strength ability to lift loads in excess of 20kg
Environmental conditions, regulated and unregulated inside climate, hazards associated with equipment, flying particles, fire hazards, discomforts associated with high noise levels, noxious or prolonged odours, non-toxic dustsYou will train on the day shift for 2 weeks before moving to your assigned shift. 3:15pm to 11:15pm Mon to Thurs, and Fri 11:45 am to 7:45pm.Liberty Staffing Services welcomes and encourages applications from people with disabilities. Qualifications:
C or B Rating - Completion of course work, training, workshops and experience related to the occupation
Apprenticeship, 3 to 5 years, some secondary school required, combination or over five hours of work experience in the trade and some high school, college or industry courses in industrial machinery repair or millwrighting
