Job Description

We are currently looking for a Millwright/ Maintenance Tech to join our team. The position is the maintenance department for our company giving the person who takes on this role the opportunity to direct and control the maintenance program for our company.

This role will work closely with the shop manager to keep our machines performing well. The Shop Manager is very knowledgeable about our machinery and processes and will work with the incoming employee to train them to our specific machines. Our VP is not afraid to invest in new equipment and quality replacement parts.

There are many great things about working for ACL! This role works a 44 hour day shift work week that spans Monday to Friday with no mandatory overtime and a very low level of night shift call ins (0-3 per year). Responsibilities



Perform general maintenance and repairs on building facility and all production (including mechanical, minor electrical, and plumbing). Maintenance priorities include plasma cutters, CNC drills, punching machines, robotic welders and band saws part pump and lines, Conduct regularly assigned preventative maintenance, thorough inspections of mechanical and electrical systems including conveyor systems, air compressor systems, lighting, and racking to detect and investigate irregularities and malfunctions. Experience with Peddinghaus machines an asset Perform maintenance on pumps (centrifugal, submersible, progressive cavity, etc.), mixers and gearboxes Perform cleaning and preventative maintenance on Automated & Robotic equipment Conduct regular inspections and troubleshoot systems and components as required in the warehouse with minimum downtime. Troubleshooting and repairing hydraulic, pneumatic and electrical equipment Installing, aligning and moving stationary industrial machinery and mechanical equipment according to layout plans using hand and power tools Operating, hoisting and lifting devices to position machinery during the installation, set up and repair Assembling machinery and equipment prior to installation; using hand and power tools and welding equipment Repair or replace defective machinery parts and fabricate parts required during overhaul Liaise with contractors as required. Maintain a safe working environment with good housekeeping.

Qualifications



Millwright 443A or equivalent experience

Working a Heights Certificate, Crane and Forklift Certification an Asset

Valid G Driver's licence

Demonstrated mechanical and electrical experience.

Demonstrated experience with electrical work (up to 600 volt). (Considered an asset, not required)

Should be versed with pipe cutting, bending and threading equipment, have a good understanding of pumps, valves and applications.

Must have knowledge of pneumatic and hydraulic systems and installations, power transmission systems, chains, belts, gear drives, speed reducers and pulley ratios

Must be able to read mechanical blueprints, reading diagrams and schematic drawings to determine work procedures

Self motivated, ability to work independently

Demonstrated experience working in a fast-paced production environment, adapting to change and to work under pressure

Knowledge of robotics and PLC controls is an asset

Sound judgment in decision making and establishing priorities.

Effective interpersonal, communication skills, time management and organizational skills

Proactive and continuous improvement oriented.

Familiarity and conformance with legislated requirements of the OHSA

Ability to work a flexible schedule and overtime if required

Must be able to work in a variety of physical positions, including sitting, standing for long periods, and walking with an ability to lift up to 50lbs on a periodic basis

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: $40.00-$50.00 per hour

Expected hours: 44 per week
