Dawson Construction

is looking for a Millwright who can maintain, troubleshoot and repair industrial machinery and mechanical equipment, ensuring optimal performance, reliability and safety across our operations.


In this role you will be a valued member of Dawson Construction, working in a full-time position of

Millwright

, reporting to the Superintendent, Asphalt. This position requires a skilled and experienced millwright; one who is safety-conscious, production orientated and self-motivated to perform repairs, maintenance, building and/or dismantling industrial equipment and machinery.

Your base location will be Kamloops, B.C and will require 20% travel throughout our great province.

WHAT SUCCESS LOOKS LIKE

Prioritizes safety of self and others in all aspects of the role Adhere to all company policies and procedures Coordinate with management to ensure a smooth flow of communication during repairs or maintenance work Always strive to exceed industry standard by providing quality workmanship Multitask while executing work within deadlines Monitor to ensure equipment deficiencies and operational issues are reported Troubleshoot machinery and equipment and make accurate judgements to repair with minimal downtime Increase the efficiency and manufacturing productivity of our plants

WHAT YOU BRING

Journeyman mechanic, welder, or millwright experience is required Apprentices in relevant trades will be considered A valid BC Driver's license and reliable transportation is required Capable of performing heavy physical duties Strong communication and interpersonal skills Dedicated to quality excellence with a superior work ethic
