Located in the Southern Athabasca region, MEG\xe2\x80\x99s Christina Lake Project is a multi-phased project approximately 150 kilometers South of Fort McMurray in Northeast Alberta. Comprised of approximately 200 square kilometers of leases, this SAGD operation currently has regulatory approvals in place to produce approximately 210,000 bpd. All workers will be staying at the state-of-the-art Poplar Ridge Lodge, which boasts a gym, rec area, commissary, laundry facility, Wi-Fi, cable, custom sandwiches, as well as full breakfasts and dinners. We have an amazing, experienced site team at MEG Energy who have safety and efficient work practices at the top of mind.
Jardeg is recruiting Millwright Journeyperson to join the team supporting MEG Energy Maintenance Project on site near Conklin, Alberta. Long term positions with full-time hours on an 7/7 shift schedule. Drive-in/ drive-out to site with Travel Allowance provided. Millwrights install, maintain, repair, and troubleshoot stationary industrial machinery and mechanical equipment in sites such as factories, production plants and recreational facilities.
A Millwright will be expected to do but are not limited to the following tasks:

• 
  Read diagrams and schematic drawings and service manuals to determine work procedures.
• Operate rigging equipment and dollies to place heavy machinery and parts.
• Fit bearings, align gears and shafts, attach motors, and connect couplings and belts to precise tolerances.
• Align and test equipment and make any necessary adjustments.
• Perform predictive and operational procedures.
• Repair or replace defective parts.
• Service and repair hydraulic and pneumatic systems
• May do some tack welding (a weld that is adequate in size to temporarily hold components in place until it can be completely welded by a registered apprentice welder or a Journeyperson welder) and fabrication as well as maintain an inventory of replacement parts.

Minimum Requirements:

• Certified Journeyperson and/or holds a valid recognized credential.
• Previous experience in a maintenance environment
• Physical strength and stamina
• Manual dexterity
• Safety conscious attitude
• Construction Safety Training Systems (CSTS-09 or 2020) Certification
• H2S Alive
• Energy Safety Canada Certified Fall Protection
• Energy Safety Canada Certified Confined Space (preferred)
• Valid Driver\'s License and a clean 3 Year Driver\'s Abstract
• Fit Test
