The following reflects the principal duties and shall not be construed as a detailed description of all work requirements, nor does it imply that all workers in this category perform all of these functions.
1. Troubleshoot machinery breakdown.
2. Apply knowledge of problem solving in mechanics, hydraulics, pneumatics, coupling, pumps, rigging, lubrication, bearings, drives, and preventative maintenance.
3. Order/recommend required parts for repair/installation from proper personnel.
4. Apply knowledge of heat treat and stress relief.
5. Identify and select lubricants and greases required to properly maintain equipment/tools.
6. Maintain records and file specifications on all tools and machinery.
7. Identify types and purposes of hydraulics fluid and their variations.
8. Select power units, electric motors, pumps, filters, accumulators, reservoirs and control equipment.
9. Install/adjust machines and equipment/replacement parts using proper techniques.
10. Install pulleys, shafts, belts on machine, conveyors, rollers and presser, chains, speed reducers, gears, brakes, clutches, drives, etc.
11. Set up conventional mills, lathes, cutting machines, CNC machines, rivet machines and metal working equipment, to make and repair parts.
12. Adjust electronic controls, including potentiometers and proximity switches.
13. Move and /or rearrange machinery and equipment.
14. Start and test operations of assembled machines/equipment.
15. Test valves, oil separators, pressure regulators, switches, fusible plugs inter and after cooler.
16. Test for wear of bearings and mechanical seals.
17. Maintain and certify lifting equipment and overhead crane maintenance.
18. Perform maintenance as required; ensure Preventive Maintenance program is current and work orders are complete.
19. May perform other related duties as required by the company
Education / Experience:
Equivalent 4 years high school
plus
Millwright ticket is a must
Preferred 2 to 4 years experience in same or related field
