Overview

We are seeking a skilled Millwright to join our team, responsible for the installation, maintenance, and repair of machinery and equipment in an industrial setting. The ideal candidate will possess a strong mechanical knowledge base and have experience with various systems, ensuring optimal performance and safety standards are met. This role requires a proactive approach to troubleshooting and problem-solving in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Duties

Install, maintain, and repair industrial machinery and equipment, ensuring compliance with safety regulations. Troubleshoot mechanical issues and perform necessary repairs to minimize downtime. Utilize programmable logic controllers (PLC) for system diagnostics and troubleshooting. Conduct regular inspections and maintenance using Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS). Collaborate with other trades such as HVAC technicians and electricians to complete complex projects. Read and interpret schematics to understand system layouts and operational requirements. Perform welding tasks as needed for repairs or installations. Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities and equipment performance. Provide exceptional customer service by addressing client concerns promptly and professionally.

Experience

Proven experience in industrial maintenance within a manufacturing environment. Familiarity with programmable logic controllers (PLC) is highly desirable. Background as an industrial electrician is a plus, with knowledge of electrical systems including low voltage applications. Experience with HVAC systems, boilers, and related equipment is beneficial. Strong analytical skills to assess problems effectively and develop solutions quickly. Excellent communication skills in English to interact with team members and clients effectively. A solid understanding of mechanical principles and the ability to read technical drawings or schematics.
