Position Overview
We are hiring a
Machinist/Millwright
to join our team in Calgary. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys hands-on work, problem-solving, and ensuring machinery runs at peak performance. You will be responsible for
assembly, installation, repair, maintenance, and troubleshooting of industrial machinery and equipment
, as well as fabricating custom parts and training production staff on safe machine operation.
Key Responsibilities
Assemble, install, repair, and maintain machinery and equipment.
Fabricate and install custom machine parts and components.
Troubleshoot mechanical issues and implement solutions.
Train production workers on proper machine setup and safety procedures.
Perform preventive maintenance and participate in annual inventory counts.
Comply with ECCO's Health & Safety policies and W.C.B. regulations.
Report accidents, incidents, and near-misses promptly.
Collaborate with team members and maintain strong working relationships.
Occasional overtime as required.
Qualifications
Post-secondary diploma or certification in a related field.
Completion of an apprenticeship program (required).
Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
Strong understanding of mechanical drawings.
Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
Proficiency with machining tools and equipment.
High attention to detail and ability to work efficiently under deadlines.
