is offering an exciting opportunity for a motivated

4th Year Millwright Apprentice

to gain hands-on experience in steel manufacturing. This role is ideal for someone safety-minded, eager to learn, and ready to build their career in a fast-paced industrial environment.



As a Millwright Apprentice, you will work alongside experienced Journeypersons and plant engineers, supporting preventative maintenance and repairs on mechanical equipment. You'll be part of a collaborative team that values safety, reliability, and continuous improvement.

Responsibilities

Assist with preventative maintenance and repair of pumps, seals, motors, conveyors, and other industrial equipment. Work with Journeypersons, engineers, and operational staff to identify and resolve equipment issues. Learn to interpret drawings, plans and determine best way of making machining repairs to minimize interruption to production. Perform routine inspections to identify wear, damage, or potential failures before they impact production. Document maintenance activities and update records in computerized maintenance systems. Support assembly, fitting, alignment, and adjustment of machinery and equipment. Maintain tools and equipment in good working order and ensure proper housekeeping in work areas.

Registered

4th Year Millwright Apprentice

(Alberta Apprenticeship Program). Previous experience in a plant or industrial environment is an asset. Strong safety mindset and willingness to follow procedures. Eager to learn, take on new challenges, and grow into a Journeyperson role. Good communication and problem-solving skills. Positive attitude and ability to work in a team environment. Basic computer literacy.

Full time, permanent, in-town opportunity. Hourly rate $40.088 plus shift premiums Employer paid benefits and pension 12 hour, day and night, rotational shift work Overtime at 1.5X and 2.0X Fast paced environment PPE Provided Pre-employment requirements:
