We are seeking a Millwork Quality Control and Shipping Coordinator to join our team. The successful candidate will be working alongside our General Manager. This role is a dual-function role responsible for ensuring all finished millwork products meet quality standards and coordinating their timely and accurate delivery to clients or project sites.
Key Responsibilities
The role involves a mix of quality assurance and logistics management
Quality Control Duties:
Monitor Production: Monitor work in progress to ensure compliance with quality standards and customer specifications.
Inspections and Audits: Conduct regular inspections of finished products, identifying defects or non-conformance issues.
Problem Resolution: Identify and help resolve quality issues prior to shipping, coordinating with the production team for necessary repairs or adjustments.
Documentation: Ensure all quality checks are properly documented and records are maintained.
Shipping & Logistics Duties:
Coordinate Shipments: Plan and organize all outgoing shipments, liaising with internal departments, and clients.
Packaging and Labeling: Oversee the proper packaging, labeling, and handling of goods to prevent damage during transit, which can involve building crates or ensuring proper skid sizes.
Shipping Checklist: Ensure all parts for the project are loaded onto the delivery vehicle
Required Skills & Qualifications
Experience: 2+ years of experience in manufacturing and production with experience in the millwork/wood product industry being a significant asset.
Technical Knowledge: Ability to read and interpret architectural blueprints and shop drawings.
Software Proficiency: Microsoft Office and Google Suite
Organizational Skills: Strong attention to detail, time management, and the ability to multitask and prioritize in a fast-paced environment.
Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills to coordinate effectively with internal teams, vendors, and customers.
Problem-Solving: Proactive approach to identifying and resolving issues related to quality or shipping delays.
Physical Demands: Ability to perform physical tasks such as standing, walking, and lifting up to 50 lbs is often required.
This role is integral to bridging the gap between manufacturing and the customer, ensuring the final product meets all expectations from production quality to final delivery.

Pay: $22.50-$26.35 per hour
Expected hours: 44 per week
