Summary of Position: Reporting to the General Manager, the Millwork Estimator is accountable for the timely and accurate development of calculated costs associated with specific projects. Key Responsibilities: \xc2\xb7 Develop detailed cost and risk analysis along with resource alternative proposals and recommendations related to specific projects to create an accurate assessment of the project cost using project documentation and client requests \xc2\xb7 Ensure and constantly improve the quality and profitability of our operations through the ongoing implementation of effective methods and strategies \xc2\xb7 Qualify plans to ensure the project falls within our scope of work \xc2\xb7 Collaborate with various department leads to ensure adequate allocation of resources within the estimate \xc2\xb7 Use developed and vetted estimates to create bids and plan proposals \xc2\xb7 Present estimates, bids and proposals to the Leadership team for analysis, review and approval \xc2\xb7 Identify, verify and convey project related details including scope of work, site conditions, dimensions and specifications \xc2\xb7 Estimating millwork projects which includes performing take offs and detailed analysis for quotations and obtaining quotations from installers and suppliers \xc2\xb7 Review and understand all contract documents \xc2\xb7 After understanding scope, complete accurate and detailed take offs using proprietary software system \xc2\xb7 Use internal and external resources to obtain accurate material prices and vendor quotes \xc2\xb7 Combine all material, production, shipping and other associated costs in order to calculate a final proposed bid price for the client \xc2\xb7 Communicate thoroughly with clients regarding RFI\xe2\x80\x99s and clarifications \xc2\xb7 Respond accurately to client and internal questions about scope of work and takeoffs \xc2\xb7 Upon bid acceptance, attend required internal handoff meetings to ensure efficient and complete transfer of information Job Type: Full-time Schedule:
