The Basics

The Mill Operator is an entry-level role designed to introduce Team Members to the dynamic crush plant environment and learning to provide hands-on support to daily operations

Location:

Jordan Mills, MB

Compensation:

$21/hr and up, shift premium applies

Days/Hours:

We are hiring for the midnight to noon shift in a 2 on, 2 off, 3 on, 2 off, 2 on, 3 off pattern. You will work both days one weekend, then have the next weekend off.

Receive, move and store soybeans Extract and refine soybean oil Ship soybean oil and soybean meal

Material Handled:

Bulk soybeans, soybean meal, soybean oil

What you'll be doing:

The duties of this hands-on job will include receiving, moving, cleaning and storing of soybeans. You will also operate equipment to extract oil from the soybeans. You will also prepare and load soybean oil and meal into trucks for delivery to our customers.



Position Responsibilities

Assist in loading, unloading, and processing of soybeans Clean equipment and plant Complete Safety, Quality and Production documentation Participate in safety inspections/meetings and corrective actions Participate in maintenance as required Other duties as assigned

Requirements to be successful in this position:

Grade 12 diploma or GED Experience in a processing plant, refinery, mill, or elevator is preferred Available to work off hours and weekends Computer skills for data entry For safety reasons, must be able to read, write, understand and follow written and/or verbal instructions in English Professional demeanor (safety conscious, quality of job performance, cleanliness, and verbal communications) Able to pass a criminal background check
