The opportunity:



This position is responsible for the efficient management of the MILC Biorepository, including personnel, space, equipment, samples and purchasing. The incumbent works closely with the PI with strategic planning of the biorepository. This role will also involve conducting statistical analyses, preparing presentations and conducting literature reviews for the THRiVE Discovery Lab research projects. While the position's decisions are not made in isolation, the incumbent does have significant input into the final decisions.

The qualifications and experience we're looking for:



Master's degree in a related study area with two years = directly related experience.
OR

Bachelor's degree in a related discipline with five years = directly related experience.
OR

Completion of a Community College course in a related discipline with six years = directly related experience. Minimum of five years of related laboratory operations experience, in a university or other research environment preferred. Preparing and submitting documentation in compliance with institutional and regulatory requirements. Experience with processing, storing and handling biological samples is required. Experience coordinating and conducting quantitative research studies: conception, literature review, completing ethics and/or biosafety applications, reporting and presenting results is required. Experience working with REDCAP, Matrix Cryotube system, Brady Cryo Printing, R Studio, and sample information management software (e.g., Freezerworks, LIMS, etc.) are assets. Experience with laboratory equipment and maintenance is required. Experience maintaining lab safety protocols and knowledge of safety regulations, WHMIS, and biological materials protocols is required. Experience with biological data statistical analysis is required. Developing outputs used for scientific communication: tables, graphs, charts, posters, diagrams, etc. is an asset. Experience using EPIC as a procurement platform is an asset. An acceptable equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.
