Job Description
We are seeking a skilled
MIG Welder
to join our team. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in metal fabrication and welding, with the ability to read blueprints, operate welding equipment safely, and produce high-quality welds that meet production standards.Key Responsibilities:
Perform
MIG (Metal Inert Gas) welding
on various metals, including mild steel, stainless steel, and aluminum with flux core experience . Read and interpretblueprints, drawings, and welding symbols
to determine project requirements. set up welding machines and adjust parameters (voltage, wire feed speed, gas flow, etc.) according to specifications. Inspect welded joints foraccuracy, strength, and quality
using measuring tools. Maintain welding equipment and ensure asafe, clean, and organized
work area. Follow allsafety protocols and PPE requirements
. Collaborate with team members and supervisors to meet daily production goals.Requirements:
MUST HAVE CWB TICKET
Minimum 10
years of MIG welding experience
(manufacturing or fabrication setting preferred). Experience with welding plates Experience with back gauging and preheating material Ability toread blueprints and technical drawings
. Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality. Knowledge ofwelding safety standards and procedures
. Physical ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stand for long periods. Certification in MIG weAdditional Skills (Asset):
Experience with
TIG or Stick welding
. Basic fabrication, grinding, or fitting experience. Ability to operatecutting tools, grinders, and measuring instruments
.Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $19.28-$28.26 per hour
Expected hours: 40 per week
Work Location: In person
