About the role:

This position provides segregated duty support for the Private Investment Counsel Front Office (Investment Counsellors and Client Relationship Managers)

Responsibilities:

  • To provide segregated administrative support to Front Office.
  • To ensure that Middle Office processes follow group policies and transactions are documented to meet Compliance and Audit procedures.
  • To ensure process of customer transactions is completed in a timely and accurate manner
  • Contribute to a culture of teamwork and collaboration that extends to our clients and customers that promotes business growth.
  • Complement existing departments and integrate Middle Office processes with Operations to create consistency across the larger Operations group.
  • Promote an environment that supports diversity and reflects the HSBC brand.
  • Establish and maintain internal controls regarding the segregation of duties for Private Investment Counsel Front Office including implementation of internal audit points.
  • Reduce transaction errors through consistent application of processes and procedures
  • Ensure that all employees are aware of and effectively identify and manage applicable money laundering (ML), terrorist financing (TF), sanctions and reputational risks.
  • Complete other responsibilities, as assigned.
Requirements
  • Role requires a minimum of Associates Degree in Business or related work experience in related field.
  • Knowledge of mutual fund or investment/securities industry and function of unitholder services/back office and/or client relationship management is required.
  • Attention to details and ability to work under pressure and deliver on tight timelines
  • Able to work and adapt in a fast changing environment
  • Effective communication skills
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel at an intermediate level
