We are supporting a client through an ERP implementation and are seeking a hands-on finance consultant to lead a chart of accounts redesign and support finance throughout the implementation and post-go-live phases.
Principal tasks and responsibilities include:
Lead the redesign and documentation of the chart of accounts to support flexible reporting and scalability
Ensure the COA structure supports future reporting and evolving accounting standards
Partner with the ERP implementation team to map, reconcile, and validate data from legacy systems
Advise on finance process improvements, reporting, and dashboard requirements
Act as the key liaison between Finance and IT, translating business needs into system requirements
Support post-implementation enhancements and ongoing system optimization

Qualifications and pre-requisites:
Strong experience with chart of accounts design and ERP implementations
Hands-on exposure to mid-market ERP platforms (Dynamics 365 Business Central or similar)
Solid understanding of general ledger, reporting, and reconciliations
Experience working with external implementation partners and internal stakeholders
Highly organized, self-directed, and able to ramp up quickly
