This is an interview position.



GENERAL SUMMARY

To lead, train and develop ramp staff in all policies and procedures adhering to FAA, RAB, local airport authority and AOD guidelines. Balances safety and procedures with efficient loads/offloads of various aircrafts.



REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES


Bachelor's degree or equivalent


Demonstrated basic level proficiency in PC computer applications including MS Office (Basic Word , Basic Excel and Basic PowerPoint)


Must currently be either an LEAP/EXCEL graduate


Two (2) years previous management experience preferred.


Must possess a valid driver's license and a good driving record


Four (4) years business experience.


Two (2) years experience in Ramp operations preferred.


Working knowledge of FAA and MOT regulations preferred


Knowledge of FAMIS,COSMOS, email and FedEx intranet systems preferred


Ability to prepare and process Canadian customs paperwork


Good understanding of FedEx products, features of service, general operations


Loading/unloading procedures preferred


Enables and mobilizes staff to stay focused and enthusiastic about tasks


Addresses and resolves conflict management


Takes accountability for department failure and acts quickly to find a suitable solution


Users best judgment in making decisions

Successful placement in the position is contingent on the applicant passing the Transport Canada, RCMP and CSIS assessment which is based on 5 years verifiable background information.


Ability to operate heavy machinery


Able to lift 70 lbs and to maneuver any package weighing up to 150 lbs with appropriate equipment or assistance of another person.
