Essential Duties and Responsibilities:



The method agent will define the optimal manufacturing processes for aircraft parts and assemblies, while providing technical support to production. The method agent will ensure that the methods used comply with the quality, safety, and performance standards specific to aeronautics.


Establish the manufacturing steps for an aircraft component Adapt material lists to optimize production sequences Produce visual aids using computer-aided design software Write manufacturing and assembly specifications for parts Study methods for assembling and manufacturing aircraft parts and subassemblies Develop assembly and installation procedures Define and write instructions and work sequences in the assembly manual for the assembly of aeronautical components. Integrate engineering and avionics system requirements Participate in defining tooling requirements, assembling and setting up various production equipment according to the optimal methodology, taking into account health and safety considerations Organize planning and follow-up meetings for short-term actions Provide technical support to production teams and train operators in new processes



Education and/or Work Experience Requirements:



1 to 2 years of relevant experience in a similar or equivalent role, demonstrating a solid foundation in the required skills and responsibilities. DEC specializing in aeronautics (construction, maintenance, avionics) or mechanical engineering from a recognized institution (CEGEP), an asset. Solid knowledge of electrical assembly manufacturing processes such as machining, assembly, composites, or sheet metal work. Familiarity with lean manufacturing, Six Sigma, and continuous improvement tools, an asset. Excellent problem-solving, communication, and project management skills. Strong command of French and English, both spoken and written. Good organizational and planning skills. Resourceful, self-reliant, and good problem-solving skills. Good judgment and ability to work effectively in a multidisciplinary team. Mastery of aeronautical manufacturing processes. Technical rigor and analytical skills. Ability to collaborate with the quality, engineering, and production departments. Knowledge of avionics and electrical systems.

Security Clearance Requirements/ CGP / ITAR:





Position requires Level 2 Clearance with the Canadian Government and the ability to gain access to the Canadian Controlled Goods Program.
