We are looking to hire a

Meter Proving Technician

based out of our

Grande Prairie

Branch.



The meter prover will provide liquid meter proving services, manager work scheduled and travel to and from sites to carry out day to day maintenance and measurement operations including but not limited to scheduling and coordinator with clients.

RESPONSIBILITIES:



Understand safety legislation, regulations, and industry policies, practice safe work procedures, and adhere to company Environmental, Health, and Safety policies and procedures. Create and foster healthy working relationships with clients and operational staff and supervisors. Represent themselves professionally both to the client and to CDN staff. Understanding of the Alberta Energy Regulatory Directive 017 and/or OGC's Measurement Guidelines for Upstream Oil and Gas Operations. Drive and Operate meter proving service truck and trailer to and from remote oil field sites. Familiar with respective API Manual of Petroleum Measurement Standards, chapter 4 Proving Systems. Carry out Liquid meter proving - bench, volumetric tank and master meter proving. Ensure prover calibrations and meter proves are conducted according to procedure. Troubleshoot and repair meter proving related problems and assist with repairs as needed. Assist with maintenance and measurement operations, including scheduling and coordination with clients. Ensures that all equipment is in good operating condition - calibrated, verified, correct and clean. This also includes safety and monitoring equipment appropriate to the job. Prepare and submit field tickets daily. All other duties as assigned.

JOB REQUIREMENTS



A valid Class 5 license with a clean driver abstract. Valid H2S, First Aid, CSO, and CSTS. Must be able to lift up to 50lbs and able to work in various working conditions. A pre-employment drug and alcohol test will be required prior to employment. 2-4 years of Meter Proving experience or related experience, or equivalent combination of education and experience. Instrumentation Experience in the Oil and Gas industry would be considered an asset.
