An excellent opportunity for a senior level Metal Fabricator / Fitter. This role requires a detail-oriented person who can work independently and as part of a mixed team of fitters, welders and MW apprentices. This position ensures steel fabrications, piping, plate and vessel work is completed efficiently and with high quality. Start date October 6 to 10 in Saskatoon and Warman. Occasional weekend work and overtime is applicable. Our shifts range between 8, 10 and 12 hours. 60% of this position will be site work / away from base, within Saskatchewan. Duties
Interpret and read blueprints and specifications for metal fabrication projects.
Operate various welding equipment.
Forming, joining and finishing of metal materials.
Use hand tools, power tools, and machinery such as press brakes, saws
Assembly of fabricated parts with accuracy and adherence to quality standards.
Safe material handling.
Quality control tasks.
Perform physically demanding tasks including kneeling, squatting, bending.
Maintain accurate records of work performed and materials used.
Adhere to safety protocols and regulations while on the job site
Skills
Proficient metal forming and fabricating
Strong fitting and welding skills
Strong communication skills in English for effective collaboration with team members and supervisors
Qualifications
Journeyman / person metal fabricator or equivalent
10 or more years experience in fabrication
Wage will be based on experience and skill
Great safety record
Relevant safety tickets are an asset
Valid work permit
Valid drivers license and own transportation
Successfully pass a standard D&A test at hire and every six months
Able to work a 12 hour shift
