We have an exciting opportunity for a Mental Health Therapist to provide crisis intervention, assessment, consultation, referral, and treatment services at the High Prairie Health Complex. In this vital role, you'll provide services in a flexible and responsive manner in order to meet client needs and foster a shared care approach to mental health services. You'll work with a multi-disciplinary team and interact with clients through walk-in services, booked appointments and occasional travel to our satellite communities. Having an understanding and respect for Indigenous culture, history, and health practices is essential. In addition to a competitive rate of pay, Alberta Health Services currently has a Remote Retention Allowance in place to an annual maximum of $3,000. This allowance is non-pensionable and is payable on an hourly basis for all hours paid at the basic rate of pay. Description:
As the Mental Health Therapist, you will be required to use a variety of treatment modalities (individual, family, and group) to persons experiencing significant mental health difficulties. Working both independently and as a member of a collaborative multidisciplinary team, you will provide evidence informed and best practices in crisis intervention, assessment, consultation, referral, case management and treatment.

Required Qualifications:

Master's degree in Psychology; or master's degree in Social Work (clinical specialization) including education in mental health assessment and psychotherapy; or master's or bachelor's degree in Occupational Therapy including training and experience in mental health assessment and provision of psychotherapy; or master's degree in Nursing or Psychiatric Nursing including training and experience in mental health assessment and provision of psychotherapy. Active or eligible for registration with the applicable Alberta regulatory college.
