Also, PLEASE DO NOT APPLY - without a minimum of 2 -5 years of one-to-one mental health counselling experience with supervision. MUST be registered with your governing body and have their own liability insurance.

We are seeking experienced, compassionate and dedicated Mental Health Counsellors to join our team as sub-contractors. These are part-time or full-time with flexible hours. This is a three-year signed contract commitment for ideal candidates. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in supporting the mental health needs of clients (adults, youth, children).

Duties

Provide counselling and therapy to children, youth, and adults, including intake, treatment, planning, and interventions. Maintain Records and store files securely. Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with vulnerable clients and diverse populations. Excellent written and oral communication skills Independently carry your own liability insurance Maintain a safe and therapeutic environment for all patients, adhering to Social Work or Psychology regulations. Support educational initiatives by providing clients and families with information about mental health resources.

Qualifications

Must have a Social Work degree (Master's Preferred) or a Master's Psychology Degree Must have at least 2 - 5 years of one-to-one mental health counselling experience with supervision Experience working with children, youth, and adult counselling Strong skills in data collection and documentation practices. Knowledge of case management principles and practices related to mental health care. Ability to work effectively as part of a team while also demonstrating initiative and independence when required. Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with an emphasis on empathy and understanding. A passion for supporting individuals with mental health challenges
