We are looking for an enthusiastic, target driven membership Sales team leader to join our Membership Sales team.
Scope
The Membership Sales Team Leader will collaborate with the Membership Manager and Membership Sales Team to provide direction, guidance and implementation of the sales practices that drives achievement in total membership targets, new member sales, tour conversions, member retention and member experience. It is expected that the Membership Sales Team Leader not only leads the team to the achievement of these goals but leads by example through regularly scheduled direct delivery shifts. Assisting with hiring, onboarding, and coaching staff. Training and implementation of new software system.
Location: 410 Rebecca Street, Oakville
Work Schedule: Full time position, 35 hours a week, work a variety of shifts including evenings and weekends

Responsibilities
  • Maintain a sales culture to drive achievement in membership growth
  • Work with Manager to develop, coach and mentor membership sales staff on practices and behaviors
  • Execute daily membership reports (numbers, access, conversions, attendance etc.) and report all fluctuations in membership numbers
  • Assist with analyzing membership data and trends and applying recommendations that support membership growth
  • Lead the membership sales team to increase prospect identification, follow up phone calls and emails and prospect conversion
  • Work closely with the Manager and the MarCom team to ensure successful execution of all areas of every monthly membership promotion
  • Monitor effectiveness of sales and outreach strategies and continually evolve plan throughout the course of every monthly sales promotion
  • Understand the demographics of our local community and meet the needs of each target market
  • Assist with hiring, training and coaching of MSRs membership sales staff
  • Role models the YMCA values and adheres to YMCA Child Protection Policy
  • Assist with training and implementation of new software system (Active net)
  • Contact and schedule new (and existing) member appointments with wellness coaches
  • Taking deposits to bank, check and distribute association incoming mail daily
  • Plan and prepare membership sales staff scheduling
  • Ensure regular meetings with membership sales team to discuss ways to improve and increase membership sales, conversions, and retention
Requirements
Essential
  • College or University Degree
  • Minimum 2 years Sales experience preferably in related field
  • Minimum 2 years of experience leading a team
  • Excellent interpersonal and relationship building skills; ability to establish rapport and excellent communication with members, employers, staff and volunteers
  • Organization and time management skills
  • Computer knowledge and skills required
Desirable
  • Demonstrated track record of meeting/exceeding sales targets
  • First Aid and CPR
  • YMCA experience
  • Registration software experience (unison, Activenet)
