Job Description


Position Summary
Reporting to the National Director, the Membership Manager is primarily responsible for coordinating and administering services in support of the Academy\xe2\x80\x99s Membership. This includes: membership recruitment, training, and retention; active promotion of existing services; R&D to improve services, conceive new ones, and identify possible new membership categories; Sales/Enterprise functions in Canada; Continuing Professional Development (CPD) course development and delivery; management and delivery of teacher training programs in Canada, coordination with offices in North and South America; and participation in a Global Membership group

Responsibilities

  • Providing frontline response to queries specific to Membership and Enterprise, CPD courses, and teacher training programs as well as general information
  • Developing initiatives to promote and grow Membership, Enterprise, teacher training and CPD in Canada, including ways to improve membership services leveraging technology and social media elements
  • Administering all aspects of Membership, Sales/Enterprise, teacher training and CPD
  • Managing an Artistic Advisory panel to guide all dance-focused decisions and activities, including CPD and teacher training programs
  • Overseeing the Enterprise website and order processing (shop.radcanada.org)
  • Communicating with team members, and liaising with members and students
  • Responding to all departmental communications, both internal and external
  • Attending events both locally and nationally, including on weekends when required
  • Developing and working to an annual Membership and CPD budget
Requirements:

Qualifications
  • Community College diploma, or University degree in Arts Administration, or equivalent working experience
  • Experience managing services, recruitment, and retention in a Membership structured organization
  • Intrinsic working knowledge of today\xe2\x80\x99s multi-media, website and social media technology
  • Proficiency in Microsoft; Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, SharePoint, SurveyMonkey and Mailchimp
  • Experience with Databases, Content Management Systems, event management software
  • Experience with desktop publishing (InDesign, Photoshop, Creative Suite)
  • Strong internet search skills for the purposes of sourcing vendors and conducting research as required
  • Comfortable working as part of a team and independently to move projects forward
  • Ability to manage multiple projects with overlapping, converging deadlines
  • Strong organizational skills and detail oriented
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Superb customer service skills; able to deal with a variety of stakeholders, both internal and external to the organization, and comfortable as a spokesperson when required
  • A valid driver\xe2\x80\x99s license would be an asset
  • Dance experience is a benefit, but not essential
Additional Info: This position is currently a hybrid structure with certain in-office hours required, while the remainder can be completed remotely.
