The Manager, Membership Marketing and Sales oversees sales targets and designs the annual sales cycle. The Manager will utilize best practice by both marketing and grassroots fundraising standards to create compelling and creative multi-channel campaigns to support the growth and retention of TIFF Members at all levels as well as grassroots fundraising (up to $999).

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Work with the Senior Manager to ensure revenue targets are attained or surpassed for mass-market Membership and philanthropic giving
  • Design and track multi-channel touchpoints for broad based acquisition, rejoin, upgrade, renewals, and donation campaigns
  • Develop creative briefs, branding concepts, key messaging, campaign work back schedules, email touchpoints, web updates, and social integration
  • Develop innovative ways to move audiences up the ladder of support from ticket purchaser to Member to donor
  • Best utilize email marketing tools and tactics including multivariate campaign testing and behavior-based automation/customer journey
  • Oversee reporting to track campaign performance and benchmarking, including email metrics, cost per acquisition, and conversion
  • Interpret and prepare learnings from monthly Membership sales reports
  • Identify and execute new Membership products and grassroots fundraising opportunities
  • Assign and review copy, assets, and project management of campaign deliverables as prepared by Senior Coordinator
  • Support the development of community partnerships, outreach, and influencer relationships to encourage Membership sales and donations
  • Prospect and liaise with external vendors to produce Membership and donation sales collateral and services including direct mail production, telemarketing/SMS, and paid social campaigns
  • Lead and motivate a team of direct reports including goal setting and performance check-ins
  • Work with Manager, Member Experience to proactively identify potential revenue including upgrades, and pipeline conversion

JOB GRADE & SALARY OR RATE OF PAY:
  • Job Grade 3
  • $60,000 \xe2\x80\x93 78,000
TARGET CONTRACT DATES OR START DATE:

WORK LOCATION:
  • Office Location: 350 King Street West, Toronto, ON M5V 3X5
  • Weekly in office requirements:
  • Minimum 2 days (November to May)
  • Minimum 3 days (June to October)
  • Festival Office Requirements: Full Time during Festival
Requirements: MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
  • Minimum 3 years\xe2\x80\x99 experience in Membership/Loyalty programmes or;
  • Minimum 3 years\xe2\x80\x99 experience in Fundraising or;
  • Minimum 3 years\xe2\x80\x99 experience in multi-channel Marketing.
  • Experience building tools for team use \xe2\x80\x93 HR, sales tracking, and trend analysis.
  • Demonstrated experience leading a team with direct reports.
  • Strong understanding of basic marketing techniques and reporting in e-communications, social, and mail campaigns Adaptable to a flexible work schedule including some evenings and weekends.
  • Familiarity with AFP (Association of Fundraising Professionals) Donor Bill of Rights and AFP Code of Ethical Principles and Standards.
  • This position requires being in office on a regular basis.
