BCSSA is seeking a full-time Membership Coordinator to join our team and support the Association's work. Our o?ce is located in downtown Vancouver with close proximity to both Skytrain and bus stations. Our o?ce hours are 8:00 to 4:00 pm.
Position Overview:
The Membership Coordinator supports the Membership Services Committee and other association initiatives by providing administrative, logistical, and event coordination services. This role is responsible for facilitating member engagement, supporting committee operations, and assisting with conferences and virtual learning programs. The role also manages communications and onboarding for new members.
Key Focus Areas:
Administrative support for committee meetings, including scheduling, creating agendas, taking minutes, communicating and actioning minutes
Coordinating committee meetings and events (at conference locations)
Coordination of new member communications and onboarding
Administrative support and assistance with conference preparation and set up/takedown
Organizing proposals for facilitators related to professional development programs and virtual learning sessions. Follow up on behalf of the committee with facilitators
Coordination of virtual learning sessions, including creating marketing materials, meeting with presenters, managing registration and payments, and acting as meeting host. Must be available one hour before the start of these sessions* Managing learning partner program registrations, payments, and related expenses
Coordinating pre-conference sessions, including managing registration and payments, logistics related to room requirements and working with external facilitators about the location
Managing other various program registrations, working with committees and external facilitators, tracking registration and payments, and managing logistics related to the programs
Creating slide decks for the annual summer conference
Preparing and sending annual surveys and collecting feedback for committee members
Newsletter support (drafting content related to programs and updating new member information)
Support for other special programs and initiatives
Travel is required for conferences, and public transportation is not always possible
Other duties may be assigned based on the Association's needs
Skills & Quali?cations:
Three to ?ve years of recent administrative experience
Certi?cate or diploma in Business Administration/Applied Business Technology
Pro?ciency with digital tools (e.g., M365 apps, SharePoint, Mailchimp, Canva, Adobe Products, Showmaster and Zoom)
Membership management and engagement experience
Experience with event logistics
Strong organizational and communication skills
Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines
Collaborative and adaptable approach
What we o?er:
Regular full-time, 7 hours per day, 35 hours per week
Hours of work are from 8:00 am to 4:00 pm, with ?exibility around conference times Fifteen days vacation time
Paid sick days
Bene?t package available after six months
Salary range: $50,000 - $55,000 annually, depending on quali?cations and experience
