We are looking for a Member Service Representative II at our Edmonton Palisades Branch. Apply by: August 29, 2022 Compensation: $40,640 - $50,800 per annum Reporting to the Assistant Manager Member Service, you play a vital role as the face of our Credit Union. As a first point of contact in the branch, you will provide a personalized and friendly experience for each member responding to their inquiries, identifying financial needs, and providing recommendations for Servus products. As a Member Service Representative II, you balance two roles: the senior member service representative and the backup frontline supervisor. You'll take on more responsibility, giving you plenty of exposure and learning opportunities to grow your career.
More specifically, the scope of your responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:

  • Providing competent and courteous service to members, exceeding their expectations, and making them feel at home
  • With accuracy, processing member transactions such as deposits, withdrawals, loan and utility payments, money orders, credit card advances, calculation of foreign and domestic exchange & cheque cashing
  • Understanding member needs and identifying opportunities to promote Credit Union products and services – referring them to appropriate team members and external partners as required
  • Provide input into the development and support the achievement of sales targets and marketing plans. Achieving or exceeding assigned sales and referral goals
  • Learning and applying knowledge of policies, procedures, and loss prevention guidelines while performing member transactions to mitigate risk of loss to Servus Credit Union
  • Contributing positively to branch morale and a cohesive work environment
  • Resolve routine member concerns and complaints in accordance with our service standards and escalate issues where appropriate to the Supervisor, Assistant Manager Member Services, Assistant Branch Manager or Branch Manager.
  • Complete a variety of administrative tasks including data input, reconciliation and review of GLs and system generated reports.
  • Provide support to the Supervisor and fulfill duties in their absence
Requirements To qualify, the following is required:
  • 1 - 2 years experience as a Member/ Customer Service Representative
  • Proven sales experience
  • Experience with cash-handling and balancing your own till
Although not required, the following are valuable assets:
  • Post-secondary education in Finance (or related studies)
