Member Service Advisor

We are seeking an experienced Senior Member Service Representative who is looking to take their career to the next level as a Member Service Advisor at BACU! The Member Service Advisor (MSA) will lead by example expanding member relationships, uncovering potential needs, and navigating through difficult scenarios. Specific Responsibilities:

• Promote, sell and service a full range of BACU products and services by proactively identifying opportunities and confidently communicate their features and benefits to meet member?s needs
• Understanding and management of deposit services, specific to registered and non-registered savings plans, including pension and locked-in fund transfers from approved jurisdictions.
• Provide a positive member service experience, through a full understanding of member interaction and a commitment to a friendly, and professional response
• Knowledgeable and confident in opening, closing, and maintaining personal, business, organizations, corporations, and estate memberships and accounts
• Assisting our Financial Service Officers with non-complex tasks
• Consistently apply all risk and due diligence policies, procedures, and practices

Education:

• Investment Funds Institute of Canada to be completed within 12 months of start date

Your Experience:

• A minimum of five (5) years of experience as MSR/Senior MSR within the credit union system
• Demonstrated ability to identify and act upon sales and service opportunities for the benefit of both members and the Credit Union
• A high degree of attention to detail with a member centric approach
• Previous credit union and/or RFS Banking Software experience is considered an asset
• Proficiency in a Windows and Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel) based environment along with a comfort in learning and using multiple software programs, are key to success in this position
• Demonstrated prioritization, organization, time management, and strong communication skills
