Latecoere is currently seeking highly talented, innovative and quality-focused individuals to join our team as an ME. The ideal candidate is flexible, organized with proven ability to handle tight deadlines and work in a fast-paced environment. Candidates registered as an EIT or P.Eng will receive the title Manufacturing Engineer.
Responsibilities
Review customer engineering and specification, provide impact analysis, implementation cost, and maintain configuration management.
Compile and maintain Bill of Material.
Create/maintain manufacture instructions for in-house products.
Prepare First Article Inspection Reports per AS9102
Supplier Planning Review
Design simple tools & provide tool fabrication planning.
Departmental, shop floor, customer, and supplier support and liaison.
Create/update training material for production processes.
Perform root cause & corrective action analysis on production defects.
Continuous improvement toward zero defects.
Qualifications
Degree/Diploma in Aerospace Manufacturing, Mechanical Engineering, or other relevant education
Must be proficient in MS Word and Excel
Must be proficient in a 3D modelling software (Solidworks/CATIA is preferred)
Must be able to read Engineering drawing.
Must have excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills.
Knowledge of the following an asset:
AS9100 and Nadcap
Configuration management
Continuous improvement methodologies such as Lean Manufacturing, 5S, Kaizen, etc.
Sheet metal fabrication
NC Programming and NC Machining
GD&T
Ability to undergo security clearance process for export controls: CGD, ITAR
We are hiring for 2 separate shifts, the specifics of each shift are below:
Weekday Shift:
The regular shift is 8.5 hour days for 9 days over a two week period - 76.5 hours total. Every other Friday is off
Weekend Shift:
The weekend shift is Friday to Monday - 10 hour shifts. (9.5 hours work time) to average 76 hours over 2 week; are paid for 76.5 hours.
Must be able to temporarily accommodate shift rotation between weekends and weekdays.
