Position Summary



NurseAmerica is seeking a

Full-Time Medical-Surgical Registered Nurse (RN)

in Kingston, ON to join a leading healthcare facility in

Watertown, New York

. This role is ideal for an experienced nurse who thrives in a fast-paced, team-oriented hospital environment and is passionate about delivering exceptional patient care.

Key Responsibilities



Provide comprehensive, patient-centered care to adult medical-surgical and telemetry patients. Monitor, assess, and evaluate patient conditions and coordinate care with physicians and interdisciplinary teams. Administer medications, IV fluids, and drips such as Heparin, Magnesium, and Potassium. Care for patients with a variety of diagnoses, including post-operative, respiratory, cardiac, and general medical cases. Maintain accurate documentation and ensure compliance with all safety and quality standards. Collaborate with unit leadership and participate in performance improvement initiatives. May serve as

Charge Nurse

when assigned.

Schedule & Work Environment



Shift:

Night shift (7:00 PM - 7:00 AM)

Status:

Full-Time, Permanent

Department:

Medical-Surgical/Telemetry (float between designated Med-Surg units and Inpatient Rehab as needed)

Patient Ratio:

1:5-6

Schedule Requirements:

Rotating weekends, holidays as needed

Qualifications



Active

New York RN License

(in good standing) Graduate of an

accredited School of Nursing

Certifications:

BLS and ACLS (American Heart Association)

Experience:

Minimum of

2 years in acute care Med-Surg or Telemetry

EMR Experience:

Meditech preferred Strong clinical judgment, communication, and leadership skills Ability to work effectively in a dynamic and high-acuity environment
