Job Description


Working under the authority of the Administrator, the Medical Records Manager will manage all activities related to the analysis, evaluation, digitization, preservation and accessibility of patients\' medical files and the transcription of dictated medical records. He will manage all medical/hospital information of the organization. The manager will plan, organize, lead, coordinate and control the work of an 11-employees team, composed of medical archivists, medical secretaries and administrative agents. The team has been working with electronic medical records for almost 15 years and continues to progress towards a paperless environment. The team is constantly striving to improve its performance and the quality of its services. It has undertaken various projects to improve health information services, confidentiality and protection, as well as the transmission of information for the patient and their care.

The position holder must have strong customer service and collaboration skills in order to guide efficiently all internal customers on information management, respect of confidentiality and appropriate policies. He assumes the role of Privacy Officer within the organization, with the Head Office and with the Commission d\'acc\xc3\xa8s \xc3\xa0 l\'information du Qu\xc3\xa9bec. He also assumes the management of human, material, financial and informational resources under his responsibility.

Requirements

  • College diploma in Medical records or medical archivist diploma from a school recognised by the Ministry or a diploma recognised by the Association des gestionnaires de l\'information de la sant\xc3\xa9 du Qu\xc3\xa9bec or the Canadian College of Health Record Administrators (Canadian Health Record Association).
  • Bachelor\'s degree in a relevant field for the position.
  • Five (5) years experience in the Health and social services network
  • Two (2) years experience in a relevant management position
  • Fluency in written and spoken English and French

Status: Permanent Full-Time
Salary: $78 482 - $102 026
Salary Class: 37
