Medical Receptionist / Third Party Coordinator

SCOPE



Reporting to the Clinic Manager, the Medical Receptionist is responsible for ensuring Medical Office Assistant Duties to Acumen Health, carried out in a coordinated, efficient, effective and client sensitive manner. The position is to support patients in their journey with our health professionals.

DUTIES



Data entry admin tasks

Schedule Patients for Providers (Our surgeons and Therapists)

Answer clinic phone and direct calls accordingly, give appropriate information regarding surgeries, services, and pricing

Ensure office policies and procedures are followed

Third Party Duties:

Organize Third Party referrals Communicate with Case Managers/Adjusters Direct billing to Third Party insurance Quoting and submitting requests for services
Use word processing, spreadsheet, database or presentation software to prepare invoices, reports, memos, letters, etc.

Greet patients when they arrive at the office, ensure all paperwork is complete and payment is taken

Ensure patient's file is ready for provider and calendar is updated and accurate at all times

Maintain patients' files throughout their journey

Time and task management skills, with the ability to prioritize according to urgency

Keep filing system organized and safe

Be involved in the design of our EMR/CMR, reporting and policies of the clinic

Have a good relationship with partners and collaborative clinics

Communication with third parties and handling of referrals

Coordinating requisitions for patient imaging and bloodwork

Always have a professional and courteous disposition with patient and team members

Have great communication skills

Must be able to work in a busy and fast paced environment

Organizational skills are necessary to manage a large amount of detailed information

Be able to work individually and part of a team, work under pressure and tight deadlines

The ability to be flexible in the schedule is a huge benefit to our organization

Ability to adapt, shift or pivot roles and tasks effectively and efficiently

Fast learning and desire to learn more

Ability to retain information across our various locations and growing clinics

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: $19.00-$23.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
