The Medical Receptionist position encompasses the primary areas outlined below: The* Navigator* is responsible to greet and escort patients to the appropriate examination room. The priority of this position is to assist Physicians by ensuring a consistent flow of patients is maintained at all times, as well as recording accurate information and calculations into the EMR system. The Navigator assists front desk if needed, by doing the following: \xc2\xb7 Ensure Office flow is managed, morning Navigator to assist with office start up \xc2\xb7 Fax server management \xc2\xb7 Administrative duties if office flow is managed \xc2\xb7 Assist other team members as requested \xc2\xb7 Support phone hub if necessary The Appointment/Telephone Receptionist is responsible to greet patients/visitors on arrival and schedule appointment(s) for patients via telephone or direct patient contact. This includes the responsibility of assessing the urgency of each visit request and booking accordingly. The Administration Support is responsible for all administration requirements for their assigned Physician. Each Medical Receptionist will rotate through each Physician on a quarterly basis. The responsibilities include working with their assigned Physician on patient management; ensuring messages/instructions are followed through and follow up on all patients of that particular physician. Each Medical Receptionist will also be back up support for others when necessary. Roles & Responsibilities: Scheduling/Arrivals: \xc2\xb7 Schedule/reschedule appointments for patients via telephone or direct contact \xc2\xb7 Ensure patient demographics are current and up-to-date in EMR system \xc2\xb7 Validate health insurance cards \xc2\xb7 Register/Roster all new patients \xc2\xb7 Contact patients for reminder or confirmation calls \xc2\xb7 Reschedule appointments as requested by Physicians \xc2\xb7 Review and maintain Physician\xe2\x80\x99s scheduler in EMR Communications: \xc2\xb7 Responsible for the cancellation line on a daily basis \xc2\xb7 Remind patients and/or accept outstanding payments for uninsured services \xc2\xb7 Sort & deliver mail \xc2\xb7 Fax/photocopy and scanning as needed to ensure efficient flow of information \xc2\xb7 Utilize EMR to enter and send messages \xc2\xb7 Liaison with pharmacies regarding patient renewals \xc2\xb7 Contact patients with missing health insurance information Record Keeping: \xc2\xb7 Enter appointment date(s) and time(s) into EMR system \xc2\xb7 Record patient weight, height into computer \xc2\xb7 Ensure swabs are matched up with correct requisition Skills Required \xc2\xb7 Ability to assess urgency of concerns \xc2\xb7 Courteous, empathetic \xc2\xb7 Excellent communication skills \xc2\xb7 Utilize the appropriate methods and styles of communication \xc2\xb7 Meticulous with attention-to-details and accuracy \xc2\xb7 Organizational skills \xc2\xb7 Ability to multi-task \xc2\xb7 Problem solving skills \xc2\xb7 Telephone proficiency \xc2\xb7 Knowledge of uninsured services \xc2\xb7 Working knowledge of EMR system (Practice Solutions) General Accountabilities \xc2\xb7 Quality of Care, patients are to be treated with professionalism and empathy at all times, during all situations \xc2\xb7 Respect \xc2\xb7 Support and understanding of other team members Communications Skills \xc2\xb7 Expresses self clearly & concisely \xe2\x80\x93 both written & verbal \xc2\xb7 Listens & responds effectively Time Management/Organizational Skills: \xc2\xb7 Participates in ensuring that all patients are seen in a timely and caring manner Job Types: Full-time, Permanent Salary: From $19.00 per hour Benefits:
